Appearance in Comic Books

The Terror pilots a giant mechanical spider and is the head of a supervillain team called the Evileers, which includes Mr Tragedy, Multiple Santa, the Fuzzy Person and Tuun-La, not of This World.

The Terror is the arch enemy of Barry Hubris, when he was formerly known as the Tick. When Barry was stripped of his name and possessions, he formulated a plan for the Evileers to attack the Tick. The Evileers are subsequently defeated by all of New york city's superheroes.

The Terror appears in several other Tick adventures. In "The Tick Big Yule Log Special" 2001 (December 2000), the Terror lures the Tick and his superhero friends to a remote ski lodge, but before he can launch his trap, the Evileers are attacked by the Man-Eating Cow. While the attack is not shown, The Tick arrives to find the cow with a piece of the Terror's uniform in its mouth implying that the Terror has been eaten. However, the Terror reappears in The Tick Big Xmas Trilogy (December 2002), playing Tiny Tim in the Tick's Christmas pageant. How he escaped from the Man-Eating Cow is never explained.

The Terror has published a fitness book entitled Terrorcizing for the elderly supervillain.

Appearances in other media

The Tick Animated Series

The Terror, voiced by Rob Paulsen appeared as a main character in two episodes of the animated series: "The Tick vs. Arthur's Bank Account" (season 1) and "Grandpa Wore Tights" (season 2). He also made cameos in "Armless but not Harmless" (season 2) and "Coach Fussel's Lament" (season 2). He wears a black hood similar to the one wore by Cobra Commander.

The Terror has a supervillain team in the animated series as well, known as the Legion of Terror and consisting of the Man-Eating Cow, Joseph Stalin (not the real Joseph Stalin, but Stalin Grad, a graduate student in Russian studies who emulates Stalin), the Human Ton (and his little friend Handy), and Tuun-La, Not of This Earth. It was also revealed that the Terror has a life-long grudge against Teddy Roosevelt, so much so that he had his mechanical vehicle punch out Roosevelt's sculpture on Mount Rushmore. The Terror is also revealed to have a son named Terry, whom the Terror is disappointed with for not being evil enough.

The Tick Live Action Series

The Terror appears in an originally unaired episode of The Tick live action series, "The Tick vs. the Terror" (the episode is available on DVD, and for streaming on Hulu). The Tick wishes for a nemesis and Captain Liberty suggests the Terror. Although the Terror boasts a fearsome reputation, he is now so incredibly old and out of shape that during his first confrontation with the Tick and Arthur, he has a heart attack and nearly dies. He is promptly taken to the hospital where he proceeds to wreak havok until the Tick throws him into a wall. The Terror is played by Armin Shimerman.
